Procedure

After an Outdoor Advertising License has been issued, the sign owner may apply for a permit from TxDOT 's District serving the county where the sign will be erected or maintained. A permit application must be submitted for each sign. Forms are available from TxDOT 's Districts. No sign may be lawfully erected until a permit has been obtained. A permit will not be issued until it is verified that a license has been obtained.
