Authority

An Agreement between the State and the Secretary of Transportation was entered into May 2, 1972. Supplements thereto were entered into on July 17, 1972 and on March 6, 1973. The Agreement and Supplements contain several significant definitions and requirements regarding the size, lighting and spacing of outdoor advertising signs along controlled highways. State requirements may be stricter than those in the Agreement.
