CERCLA

The Comprehensive Environmental Response, Compensation Liability Act of 1980 (CERCLA), commonly referred to as "superfund," provides Environmental Protection Agency authority to respond to releases or threatened releases of hazardous substances, pollutants, or contaminants that may endanger human health or the environment.
