Chapter 5: Conflict of Interest

Section 1: Overview

To avoid an appearance of a conflict of interest, any qualified non-TxDOT laboratory shall perform only one of the following types of testing on the same project:

• verification testing,
• quality control testing, or
• Independent Assurance (IA) testing.
