Purpose

This manual is a significantly enlarged and updated version of Chapter 5, Section 2, Snow and Ice Operations, in the existing Maintenance Operations Manual. This new manual represents volume four of the Maintenance manual and incorporates

input from snow and ice control experts
new materials, equipment, and methods
examples of snow and ice control plans from two districts

Changes

The manual is new; no changes have been made.

No actions are required of users.
