The Texas Manual of Uniform Traffic Control Devices (TMUTCD) requires that all traffic signs notify road users of regulations or provide warning and guidance needed for the uniform and efficient operation of all elements of the traffic stream in a manner intended to minimize the occurrences of crashes.
However, the Texas Department of Transportation (TxDOT) allows certain non-traffic related signs on state highway rights-of-way (ROW), such as memorial markers and city pride signs.Anchor: #i998951
All non-traffic related signing should:
