Purpose

The Use of Right of Way by Others Manual has been revised to reflect changes to the broadband accommodation process, policy on mailboxes, and various other forms and agreements.

Contents

Chapter 1 - Section 2: A new subsection ‘Broadband Accommodation Process’ has been added to reflect recent changes in the Texas Administrative Code.

Chapter 2 - Section 2: Language was added to this section regarding Neighborhood Delivery and Collection Box Units and mailboxes for patrons who do not live adjacent to the highway.

Chapter 2 - Section 6: A new subsection ‘Driveway Permit for Mineral Interest’ was added.

Chapter 2 - Section 9: Retitled this section ‘Roadside Maintenance Agreements’. Includes sub-sections on Landscape Maintenance Agreements and Picnic Area Maintenance Agreements.

Chapter 3 - Section 4: Updated information was provided regarding the process of removing unauthorized signs and use of Form 2053.

Chapter 3 - Section 13: Updated information was provided regarding policy on depositing silt on private property and use of Form 2667.

Chapter 3 - Section 16: This new section ‘Agreement for Access to Texas Department of Transportation Highway Right of Way’ was added.
