Stage 1

- Based on weather forecasts, TxDOT is monitoring conditions and/or pretreating bridges, overpasses, and other problem areas. Anchor: #FYCYPKHR
- Treating roadways as needed based on weather conditions.
Stage 2

- Snow and/or ice collecting on bridges and/or roadway surfaces, plowing and/or treatment may be taking place. Anchor: #YFKCVSMH
- Starting to focus response on major roadways as storm gets worse. Anchor: #KTEBPDGJ
- District is identifying possible additional local resources needed and notifying them. (Local governments, other district personnel, possible contractors.)
Stage 3
- Anchor: #HTMMSMVX
- Snow and/or ice accumulating on roadways to the point where all district resources are being utilized for plowing and/or treating. Anchor: #JCVTSKHG
- Encouraging the public to stay off the roadway or to seek shelter. Anchor: #VXYMFSLE
- Preparing for potential major road closures. Anchor: #RNKIELNI
- Continuing to focus on major roadways and identifying potential additional resources needed while coordinating with the Maintenance Division and other districts.
Stage 4

- Major roadways are becoming impassible. Anchor: #JAHOLYCB
- Implementing major roadway closure plans. Anchor: #MDCEQJDG
- Directing the public to stay off the roadway and seek shelter. Anchor: #UDPLYMKJ

- Activating coordination plans with Maintenance Division and other districts for additional resources.
Clean-Up Stage
