Section 11: Prohibiting Fireworks in Rest Areas

Texas Transportation Code, Section 203.112, allows the Texas Transportation Commission to restrict or prohibit the use of fireworks in rest areas in unincorporated areas of Texas counties, if petitioned by the respective county Commissioners court. The county is responsible for the cost of designing, constructing, erecting and maintaining the signs giving notice of this prohibition.
