Section 5: Environmental Clearance

Before authorization, the project must have environmental clearance by approval of a Final Environmental Impact Statement, Environmental Assessment (EA), Categorical Exclusion (CE), Finding of No Significant Impact (FONSI), or Record of Decision (ROD) or concurrence that it is a non-major action project. This clearance is obtained through the Environmental Affairs Division, Environmental Compliance Oversight System (ECOS).
