Section 7: Deleting Routes

Delete a complete or partial route when the Texas Transportation Commission approves deleting the route. The removed route or route segment cannot contain a link or gap. Remove links and gaps first for the system to allow the route deletion.

Repress <F2> to confirm deletion; the system displays the verification message “Transaction completed successfully” and deletes all data records associated with the deleted routes |

System Response. While completing this transaction, the TRM system automatically:
- Removes all data and markers within the limits for the deleted route or route segment
- Does not remove reference markers from the route if the transferred limits fall exactly on those markers
- Writes records to the TRM- Tracking file for the removed route or route segment, plus any removed markers.
